I've been reading up on Salonya Evans' case, and I'm struck by the dedication of the community in keeping her memory alive. I came across a post where someone mentioned a vigil they held for her each year on the anniversary of her passing. It’s heartening to see how her family and friends have turned their grief into something so meaningful. Kaydence, her little girl, must feel surrounded by love from all corners even though she lost her mom so young. Organizing these events can't be easy while dealing with such a loss, and I admire their strength and resilience. It's terrible that Salonya's life was cut short, but seeing the community rally together in her honor is truly powerful. It’s a reminder of the good in people during such tough times. Has anyone here ever attended one of these vigils or similar events? How did it feel, and what did it mean to you?

Did anyone catch the testimony during the trial about how the U.S. Marshals finally tracked down Lansana in Kentucky? It's fascinating how law enforcement can piece together all these leads over such a long time and across state lines. I can't even begin to imagine how Salonya's family felt during that waiting period, not knowing if justice would ever be served. It's a relief to see some resolution, but I hope they're given the support and resources they need to continue healing. It's tragic how this one act of violence has affected so many lives. If anyone has more details on the pursuit, I'd be interested to learn how it unfolded.
