I’ve been following Kenneth Irvin Lawson's case and something has been bothering me about the security measures at the Wing Bar that night. It's such a tragedy what happened, and my heart goes out to his family, especially his kids.
Does anyone know why the shooter was able to get back inside with a weapon after leaving? It seems like a major security lapse. I read that a security guard tried to check him, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to prevent this tragedy. Wouldn't there have been more staff or protocols in place, especially given it was a holiday and the place was likely packed? I'm really hoping the establishment is cooperating with the investigation because they might have crucial surveillance footage or information to help identify the suspect.
Security at venues should be protecting patrons, and while it’s easy to look at things in hindsight, maybe, just maybe, looking at what can be improved might prevent another family from enduring such pain.
