On November 22, 2013, David Czerman was taken to Surrey Memorial Hospital for substance impairment. Later that day, David discharged himself from the hospital and was given a bus ticket at approximately 19:40 hours. He has not been seen by his neighbours or family since November 21, 2013. David was depressed and on pain medication for a medical condition. Family described David as a recluse, with no friends and only left his residence to go to the local pharmacy as he had trouble walking.
