It’s been really tough to wrap my head around the news about Jayden Quick and his brother Kamren. I can’t imagine what their family is going through right now. I was just thinking about how this incident has affected the community here in Alexandria and Centreville. It's a stark reminder of how close to home these things can happen. Gun violence is such a pervasive issue, and despite efforts to curb it, it seems like we're always hearing about another tragedy. It’s commendable that law enforcement acted swiftly to apprehend Jeremiah Mouzon and that victim specialists are involved in supporting the Quick family. Still, it makes me think about what more could be done to prevent these tragedies in the first place. My thoughts are with everyone involved, especially Jayden and Kamren's loved ones.
