Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up a point about Stanley Michna’s case that hasn’t been discussed much. His disappearance on January 1, 1970, always makes me wonder about the conditions in Alaska at that time. January in Alaska is no joke with the harsh weather, and I have read that missing persons in such environments face particular challenges due to the cold, ice, and wildlife. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation's involvement is crucial, especially since they’re equipped to handle the unique terrains and climates of the state, but does anyone know how they navigate such harsh conditions while searching? I mean, it's hard enough to track someone down in good weather, let alone during an Alaskan winter. Just think about how technological limitations back then would make things even more challenging. Any insights into how these searches are conducted would be great.
