I've been following the case of VanTerry Maurice Fields, and it's just devastating what happened at that 7-Eleven. I keep thinking about the employees and customers who were there that night. How do you even begin to cope with witnessing something so violent? That corner store must have been a part of so many routines, just a place to grab some snacks or a quick drink, and now it's marked by this terrible event. I hope those who were there are getting the support they need, whether it’s counseling or just a community reaching out. Such a reminder of how precious and fleeting life is. My thoughts are not just with Fields' family but also with everyone affected by what happened that night. If anyone knows about any community vigils or outreach programs springing up, it would be great to share that here. It's important to know we aren't just passive spectators in this but can be part of a collective healing process.
