It’s been on my mind how brave Jamoine Terrell Tyler must have been during those terrifying final moments. He tried to run back to his home, to the safety of his family. Imagine the shock and fear his wife and daughter must have experienced, knowing he was so close yet unable to reach him in time. It’s devastating to think about. I can't help but feel for them, knowing they were right there as everything unfolded. Losing someone suddenly is always hard, but having to live with that memory is unimaginable. I'm relieved to hear that justice was served with Mitchell’s conviction, but I hope Tyler’s family finds support and healing from the community and each other. Thoughts and prayers are definitely with them.
