I was really struck by how Erin Smith has turned an unimaginable personal tragedy into a powerful advocacy for mental health support within the police force. It's inspiring to see such strength and perseverance in the face of adversity. The systemic lack of mental health resources for officers, especially after traumatic events like the Capitol riot, is a serious issue that needs urgent attention. I truly hope that the ongoing legal battles will lead to meaningful changes, not just for Jeffrey Smith and his family, but for all officers who might be experiencing similar struggles. It's so important for us to keep this dialogue open and support those who put their lives on the line. My thoughts are with Erin and everyone affected by this.
