I just can't get over the fact that this senseless act of violence took the lives of Sharnez Hill and her precious baby, Neziah. As a mother myself, I can't begin to fathom the pain their family must be going through. It's comforting to know the community recognized their loss by naming a portion of Wythemar Avenue in their honor. It serves as a reminder to all of us of the innocent lives taken too soon. Their story brings to light the critical need for us to come together to address gun violence. I really hope that the ongoing trials for the other suspects will bring some closure and justice to the family. It's just so tragic that it sometimes takes incidents like this for change to start taking place. Thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones.
