It's truly devastating to read about Lamar's tragic passing. I live not far from Shockoe Bottom, and it's unsettling to hear about incidents like this happening in our community. What's bizarre to me is how this happened in such a lively area where it seems like there are always people around, especially that time of night. You'd think with so many potential witnesses, someone would have seen or heard something that could help the investigation. I remember going down to Shockoe Bottom last December around the same time. It was bustling, with folks heading out or just wrapping up a night. How this tragedy unfolded in such a busy area with no clear answers is beyond me. I'm really hoping that anyone who was in the vicinity that night finds the courage to come forward with any details, no matter how small they think it might be. Lamar's family deserves answers and justice. Keeping them all in my thoughts.
