Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Jashod Edwards, and something's been on my mind. There’s a lot of focus around the crime scene and the immediate events surrounding the shooting, but I’ve been wondering about the role of community safety in that area. Bethel Street, where Jashod was shot, is a mixed-residential area, and I’m curious to know if anyone from Richmond can weigh in on whether there have been other incidents of violence there that might suggest a pattern. It's so painful to think Jashod had to endure such a horrendous act, and it makes me hope even more that something can be done to prevent future tragedies in the neighborhood. Maybe by understanding the broader context, we can help piece together why this happened. I can't begin to imagine the pain his family must be going through, and I really hope someone comes forward with information soon.
