I've been following Quantasia Bessix's case, and something that's been on my mind is the impact this tragic event had on the Bridgeton community. It's deeply saddening to think about how random violence can tear through a neighborhood and leave everyone there feeling unsafe and shaken. Knowing that Quantasia was just trying to get away and ended up being an unintended target is difficult to come to terms with. The terror residents must have felt during that violent period in 2014 is unimaginable. It's a reminder of how crucial community support and solidarity are during such trying times. My heart truly goes out to her family and friends who are left to cope with this senseless loss. I hope the community has found some healing since then and continues to support each other in preventing more tragedies like this in the future.
