I've been following the tragic case of Frederick Errickson Jr., and my heart truly goes out to his family, especially his grandson, Dominick. I recently read about the standoff and couldn't stop thinking about the intense fear Frederick and the responding officers must have felt during those tense hours. It's terrifying to imagine the confusion and chaos that ensued when John Reno refused to communicate. I hope the officers who were involved in that standoff are receiving support, too. I can't help but think about how this affected Heidi's friends and family—they must be utterly devastated to lose two loved ones so suddenly and violently. If anyone from the local community is here, how are people coping with this loss? Has there been any talk of setting up memorials or local support groups?
