It's been on my mind how gun violence is such a huge problem in Newark, affecting so many young lives. Darnell D. Smith’s tragic death is yet another reminder of how urgent the situation has become. I can only imagine the pain his family is going through right now—losing someone so full of potential. It’s unsettling to think that Darryl A. Craft is still out there somewhere. I truly hope the community steps up to help law enforcement catch him. It's vital everyone works together to ensure safety and justice. Anyone with any leads must come forward. Darnell's family deserves peace, and our community deserves safety from this endless cycle of violence. Sending strength and love to those who knew him.
