Did anyone else notice how Bryan's case seems to have sparked quite a bit of debate about safety measures at popular surfing spots since '92? I know shark incidents are rare, but it seems like these discussions led to some of the precautions we see today, like those warning signs near beaches with higher shark activity. I wonder if his case is one of the reasons authorities started to take this issue more seriously back then. It's eerie to think that it takes incidents like this to push for better safety measures, but at least it's spurred some actionable changes to help keep others safe. Does anyone remember if there were any significant changes made right after his disappearance?

Has anyone else heard about the theories surrounding Bryan Adona's disappearance? I've been following his case for a while and came across a discussion about the area being notorious not just for sharks, but for strong rip currents, especially around the time of year he vanished. While the damaged bodyboard suggests a shark encounter, I'm wondering if perhaps he could have also been caught in a rip current, which might have impacted his ability to escape if a shark was indeed involved. It seems like that stretch near Leftovers has seen quite a few incidents where the waves look calm but can turn dangerous in an instant. Thoughts?
