Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the location where Kashaad James was tragically killed. Having lived in Paterson for a while, I've seen firsthand how Godwin Avenue near Rosa Parks Boulevard can sometimes feel tense. It's so disheartening that spots we pass by daily, or neighborhoods we’ve grown up in, have these dark shadows cast over them. It's like this invisible weight that hangs around, knowing that such a young life was taken there. I can't help but reflect on how these streets have stories that speak to larger issues we face as a community. It’s really tough when places meant to be safe become dangerous due to gang activity. I sincerely hope the authorities can get ahead of this somehow so other families won’t have to endure such pain and loss. My thoughts are with Kashaad’s friends and family during this difficult time. Stay safe out there, everyone. It's a reminder for us all to look out for one another and hopefully see a day when these kinds of tragedies are behind us. Take care ❤️
