I recently came across an article about Kevin Barber and the tragic events from January 11, 2017, in Newark. It's truly devastating to hear how a community can be rocked by such violence. I've been thinking about the role community support plays after incidents like this. The John W. Hyatt Court complex must have been reeling, and I wonder if there have been any support initiatives or community healing programs put in place since that tragic day. It’s important that we not only focus on the legal proceedings but also on healing the community's wounds. Herbert Waldron, Kevin’s grandfather, mentioned the ongoing violence and lack of justice, which seems to highlight the bigger picture of what's happening in the area. I’m hoping the community can rally together to prevent further tragedies. Does anyone have more info on local efforts or ways neighborhoods are trying to combat this cycle of violence?
