I've been following the case of Aaron Lamont Owens and Cory R. Bunch, and it’s so painful to think about how their families and friends must be feeling right now. One thing that's been on my mind is the timing and location of the shooting. A busy intersection like West Adams and Delaware Streets at 4:21 p.m. might seem like there would be several witnesses. But despite this, there haven’t been any breakthroughs yet. I wonder if fear of retaliation is preventing people from coming forward. It's essential that anyone with details, no matter how small they think it might be, reaches out to law enforcement. Even sharing anonymously can make a big difference. The community has rallied to support the Bunch family, which is heartwarming to see, but we also need justice for both families. If someone out there is hesitating to speak up, I hope they find the courage to do so. We owe it to Aaron, Cory, and their loved ones to help bring some sort of peace to this senseless loss.
