I came across something while reading about the fire on Argyle Street that really stuck with me. It’s just incredibly tragic how easily lives were lost due to someone’s reckless disregard for human life. I read that Roxana Ocampo worked multiple jobs to provide for Itzel and keep their lives as stable as possible. The idea of everything they built being taken away in one unforgiving night is just so hard to wrap my head around. How are communities like Irving Park supposed to heal when faced with such senseless violence? My heart goes out to their family. I hope justice is truly served, whatever that might look like. Has anyone else seen if there have been any recent developments in the legal proceedings?
