I came across James Shaw's case, and it really hit me hard thinking about the randomness of life and how everything can change in an instant. I read that he was just spending time with friends, a normal day, and then his life was stolen so senselessly. It's so devastating for his family and friends, and I can't begin to imagine what they're feeling. One thing that really strikes me is the bravery of the witnesses who came forward during Mahdi Wright's trial. Their testimonies must have been incredibly difficult to give, especially knowing the details of how it unfolded. I hope they find some peace now that justice seems to have been served. It’s a reminder of how important community support is in these tough times. Thinking of Shaw’s family as they navigate through this unimaginable loss.
