Has anyone else been thinking about the impact Anthony's death has had on his teammates? While it’s completely devastating for his family, I can’t stop thinking about how his friends and teammates at South Vineland Little League must be feeling. Losing someone so close at that age is incredibly difficult, especially when they’ve shared so many moments on and off the field. Playing baseball with Anthony must have been such a big part of their lives, and now they have to navigate the season without him. I hope they are getting the support they need and that the league is helping them process this tragedy. If anyone knows how they’re holding up or if there’s a way to reach out and support them, please share. It’s a tough time for the community, and staying connected might help them get through this.

I can hardly believe this tragic loss for the Vineland community. What strikes me most about Anthony's story is the outpouring of love and support he received from his baseball family. The fact that his Little League and high school teammates came together so quickly, organizing a vigil, really shows how special he was to everyone around him. It’s truly moving to see so many people rallying around his family during such an unimaginably difficult time. My heart goes out to his mom, Kironys, and everyone who knew him. It’s devastating how gun violence has stolen yet another bright soul. May his memory continue to inspire positive change in the community. Sending love and strength to all who are grieving his loss.

I recently attended the candlelight vigil for Anthony Torres-Sanchez at the South Vineland Little League fields, and I felt the weight of a community coming together in shared grief and solidarity. Seeing all those who gathered, from friends to teachers and neighbors, really showed how many lives Anthony touched. It was incredibly moving to hear his teammates talk about their memories of him—not just his skills on the field, but also his jokes, his laughter, and how he was such a bright spirit. Being there, it hit me how these events ripple outward, impacting so many beyond just the family. It felt comforting to see how the community has embraced Anthony's family, offering support and love but also calling for meaningful change. If there's any silver lining here, it's in the shared determination I witnessed to make sure other young lives aren't stolen too soon. I hope we can all continue to honor Anthony's memory by working towards a safer community.
