I've been thinking a lot about Christopher Carlisle and the kind of person he must have been as a supervisor and colleague. His presence is clearly missed, and it's difficult to imagine how his team must have felt losing not only a leader but a friend in such a sudden and violent way. It’s evident that the atmosphere at the Royal Oak Post Office was tense leading up to this tragedy, and one can't help but wonder how things might have been different with more support and resources for handling workplace disputes. It makes you realize the importance of having solid communication channels and mental health support at work. Nobody should ever feel that resorting to violence is their only option. My heart goes out to his family and everyone affected by this senseless act. I hope discussions like these lead to tangible changes in workplace safety and mental health resources.
