Has anyone else been stuck on the missing car aspect of Jerry Alter's case? I can’t shake the feeling that the maroon Escort could hold crucial answers. What's strange to me is that the license plates were turned into the Secretary of State's office a year after his murder, but no insight was gathered from that. It seems odd that this significant lead didn't turn up any information. Could the car have been used in other crimes during that year, or even stripped down for parts? It just feels like this might be a thread worth pulling on for investigators. My heart goes out to Jerry's family—having no closure must be unbearable. If anyone has theories or additional details, please share. Every piece might help uncover what happened to Jerry.
I’ve been following Jerry Alter’s case, and I can’t get the detail about his car out of my mind. The fact that his 1986 maroon Escort went missing after his murder and the plates turned up a whole year later seems like such a crucial piece of the puzzle. I wonder if whoever took the plates back to the Secretary of State's office might have seen something or even been involved. It's strange that the plates appeared, but the car didn't. Plus, the earlier incident with the window smashing and battery theft seems like it might be important. Was someone trying to intimidate him or send a warning? I feel for Jerry’s family, having to endure the loss and deal with so many unanswered questions all these years. If anyone knows anything or notices even the smallest detail, it could mean so much for finding justice for Jerry.
I recently came across Jerry Alter’s case, and I can't stop wondering about the connection between his missing car and his tragic demise. It's disturbing to think that his car, a maroon '86 Escort, just vanished from the scene and then somehow the plates showed up at the Secretary of State's office a year later. How does that even happen without more traces or leads? Could it have been someone involved trying to sever any connections to the crime? It's one of those haunting details that just doesn’t make sense.
I feel so deeply for Jerry’s family, losing him so suddenly and having to deal with such a lingering mystery. The fear and frustration they must feel, knowing there are still unanswered questions. If anyone out there has even the smallest piece of information, it might be the piece that finally brings closure to those who loved him. Let’s keep Jerry’s story alive in hopes that justice will be served someday.
