Hey everyone, I've been diving into the details of the James Isom case from '97, and it just got me thinking about workplace safety policies back then. From what I can tell, this is a prime example of how personal issues can spill over into professional environments with devastating consequences. It's so sad to see how James, just doing his job, got caught in such a horrific situation. The lawsuit against the bank and security company seemed to stem from concerns that they knew about the potential risk Griffin posed. But it looks like proving that they had enough foresight or awareness was a big hurdle for Iris Diaz and James' family. I wonder if today’s stricter workplace safety and HR protocols might've made a difference in preventing something like this or at least in how liability is determined. Does anyone here work in HR or have experience with similar cases who could shed some light on how things might be different now? Sending love to James' family and hope they found some peace over the years.
