Has anyone else been following the initiatives led by Jeannette Hadden and Ashley Jordan in response to Keandre's death? I recently came across their "Stop the Violence" campaign and it truly seems like a beacon of hope for the Ypsilanti community. It’s inspiring to see local residents stepping up and taking action to fight back against the violence that's been tearing their neighborhood apart. I can't imagine the pain the families are going through, and it’s devastating to think these young lives continue to be lost in such senseless ways. Creating these programs could really help steer local youth toward safer choices and a brighter future. If anyone has more info on how these initiatives are developing, I'd love to know how people are getting involved and what kind of impact they’re starting to see.

I've been following Keandre Duff's case, and something that really stands out is the level of fear that must have been present among the witnesses that night. Over 100 people were at that block party, yet no immediate arrests or even descriptions of the shooter were made. It's really troubling to think about the kind of intimidation gang violence puts on a community. I can only imagine the kind of pressure and fear those witnesses might be feeling — like they can’t speak up without risking their own safety. It makes me wonder about the effectiveness of the increased patrols and if they’re providing the kind of support that would empower people to come forward with information. My heart goes out to Keandre’s family and friends. They deserve justice, and the community deserves peace. I hope that with the local initiatives like "Stop the Violence," we'll start to see some real change.
