I just can't stop thinking about the morning routine of Stanley Carter. It's a sobering reminder of how quickly and unexpectedly life can change. Imagine getting up early, probably before the sun, to catch a bus to work—that's dedication. He was just going about his day, like countless others, only to have it end in such tragedy. It's something I think we all take for granted: the comfort of expecting to return home after a regular day. The fact that someone who served his country honorably and contributed positively to his community could be targeted like this is infuriating. My heart truly goes out to his family and friends who have been robbed of such a kind and hardworking soul. It must be so hard for them to understand why someone they loved was taken in such a senseless way. I hope Stanley's story inspires us to look out for one another more and value each day with our loved ones.
