Having followed Ben’s case since the beginning, I'm really caught up in thinking about Daisha's role in all this. I can't imagine what either of their families are going through right now. It raises so many questions about domestic violence and where signs might have been missed. Whether or not the situation was volatile before that tragic night, it's a wake-up call about relationships and how quickly things can escalate. If there were signs of trouble, were they taken seriously enough? It's heartbreaking not only for Ben and Daisha but for everyone connected to them. We often don't realize what happens behind closed doors until it's too late. This community needs more resources for recognizing and dealing with potential domestic issues before it leads to something irreversible. My heart goes out to both families – they’re forever changed.
