I've been following the case of Dejuan Davis and Lavar Edwards, and I can't help but feel for their family and community. Something that really stands out to me is the lack of any suspects or arrests even though this clearly seems to have been a targeted attack. Given that the shooting happened outside their own home, it makes me wonder if the perpetrators were someone they knew. Was there anyone in their circle who might have wanted to harm them? Also, with it being the middle of the night on New Year's Day, when a lot of people are out celebrating or asleep, the killer might have thought it was the best time to strike and avoid attention. It's hard to think about, but it makes me consider how they might have meticulously planned this. I genuinely hope that someone with knowledge about what happened comes forward. Dejuan left behind a young daughter who deserves answers and justice for her dad’s death. A community deserves to feel safe in their own homes, and this case has left so many feeling on edge. Sending my condolences to the family and I hope they get the closure they need soon.
