I’ve been thinking a lot about Joseph Lucas’s role in this tragedy. Being the getaway driver, it seems like he played a crucial part even if he wasn't the one who pulled the trigger. I can't imagine what was going through his mind that night, knowing his actions were enabling such violence. It's so disturbing that someone would choose to be involved in something like this. My heart truly goes out to Javon Perry’s family and friends. His loss is felt deeply in the community, and I hope they can find some measure of peace as the legal process unfolds. This is yet another reminder of how important it is for us to address the root causes of crime in our society. No family should have to endure the sorrow that comes with losing a loved one in this way.
