I’ve been following the Dominique Lee case closely and something that really stands out to me is the community's role in seeking justice. It's deeply moving to see how the people of Ypsilanti have come together, providing support for Lee's family and urging a thorough investigation. Instances like the rallies and candlelight vigils held in Dominique's memory show the strength and resilience of the community. While the legal proceedings against Chandler and Walker are essential, the emotional solidarity and collective voice of the community are equally powerful. It’s both inspiring and a stark reminder of the importance of community involvement in the fight against violence. My thoughts are with Dominique’s loved ones, and I hope they find some solace in their community’s unwavering support.
