It's truly difficult to wrap my mind around such a devastating event in Pittsfield Township. I think one of the things that stands out to me is how swiftly lives can be turned upside down. It makes me think about how relationships can sometimes hide struggles that aren't visible to the outside world. Shantel had so much life ahead of her, and it’s gut-wrenching to know that it ended in such a tragic way. I read through some comments from those who attended the funeral, and it seems she was loved dearly by her community. People described Shantel as full of life, always smiling, and an amazing friend. For her family and all who loved her, I can't imagine the pain they are feeling. I hope they find strength in each other while they seek justice for Shantel. It's crucial that every detail unfolds so that we can understand and learn from this senseless tragedy. Her memory deserves nothing less.
