Been following the Erik and Charles Johnson case and noticed something odd that hasn’t been talked about much. I read somewhere that weather conditions can change super quickly around Yakutat, making it treacherous for small boats like their skiff. But did anyone hear if there were any eyewitness accounts or reports about the weather that day? I always feel like those little details can sometimes offer clues or at least context on what might have happened. It's just gut-wrenching not knowing, and I can't stop thinking if there was some kind of change in conditions that altered their course. Does anyone have local insights on this or similar cases?

Does anyone have more info on the condition of the skiff when it was found? I'm trying to understand if there were any visible signs of what might have happened — like weather damage or something else. I know those waters can be unpredictable, but I'm curious if anything specific stood out to the search teams. It's so unsettling not to know what went wrong. If anyone here is local or has boating experience in that area, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what could have caused the skiff to flip like that.

Has anyone else seen reports about the weather conditions the day Erik and Charles went missing? I read that there was a sudden shift and the waves got pretty rough. I wonder if that could have played a big part in the boat capsizing. It's just baffling how quickly things can go wrong on the water, and with no sign of them yet, it's really unsettling. Anyone here familiar with the Yakutat area and know how typical/unexpected such weather changes are? ?
