In the late summer of 2000, a young man named Erik Jonathan Kveum, aged 21, was in Juneau, Alaska. On September 6th, he and 40-year-old Charles Johnson embarked on a journey in a 20-foot aluminum setnet skiff. Their intended destination and the full purpose of their trip remain unclear, but it was this voyage that would lead to their disappearance.
