In the autumn of 1984, a young man named Leon Charles Nelson, just 21 years old, was in the area of Juneau, Alaska. On October 18th of that year, he was involved in a boating accident. The incident occurred in the waters of Kootsnahoo Inlet, a significant body of water near the community of Angoon. This unfortunate event would mark the last time anyone would see or hear from the young man, who was a member of the American Indian and Alaska Native community.
