I was thinking about the role of surveillance footage in the injustice that happened to Nyassinu Crowell. It really strikes me how important those few seconds captured on film could be in bringing his killers to justice. Surveillance cameras seem like silent witnesses that are always around but often overlooked. I can’t imagine the pain his family must be feeling right now, knowing there’s visual evidence out there and yet still no one has been brought in. How frustrating must it be for them to see the faces of the assailants and feel like they are still invisible to law enforcement? It's crucial that people with any hints or hunches about who these individuals could be come forward. Even the smallest detail could crack this case wide open. My thoughts are especially with his children, who have been robbed of their father. I hope the community continues to rally around them and that we soon see some justice for this devoted dad.
