Has anyone else looked into the vehicle involved in Dondreal Watkins’ case? I read that the KDPS released surveillance photos of a gray or silver Nissan sedan they think is linked to the shooting. It got me wondering — what’s the current status of this lead? Has there been any mention of someone coming forward with new info? It’s hard not to feel for Dondreal's family and loved ones, enduring this uncertainty and waiting for answers. I can't even imagine the frustration and pain they’re dealing with, especially when potential leads like this seem to stall. If anyone locally has heard anything new about the investigation or remembers seeing this vehicle around the time of the incident, it could really help bring some closure. Let’s keep Dondreal's loved ones in our thoughts and hope for some breakthroughs soon.

I've been following the tragic events in Kalamazoo since July 22, 2020, and it's deeply upsetting to learn about the loss of Dondreal Watkins. My heart sincerely goes out to his family and friends during this unimaginably painful time. What I find particularly troubling is the lack of progress in the investigation. It's been over three years now, and still, no arrests have been made. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for his loved ones, not only grappling with their grief but also with the fact that justice remains elusive. I came across mentions of the surveillance photos that were released, showing a gray or silver Nissan sedan. I'm curious if there have been any updates on whether that vehicle has been located or if the KDPS has narrowed down their leads. This thread is definitely a place to share any knowledge, no matter how small, that could finally bring answers to those who're still holding out hope. To anyone who's local or has more insight on community efforts beyond the media reports, how have the vigils and neighborhood initiatives been progressing? It’s clear that Watkins and Coleman were loved, and their community is trying to make a change, which is incredibly commendable. Hoping to hear more from anyone who might have attended these remembrance events or who is working on advocacy against gun violence in Kalamazoo. Stay safe out there, everyone.
