I can't stop thinking about the fact that J'Quan was driving his mom's car when this all happened. It makes me wonder if the perpetrator thought it was someone else or if they had any specific motive. It's terrifying how randomly these horrible incidents can occur. My heart goes out to his mother, Tia. I can’t even imagine the pain she must be feeling, especially with this happening on his birthday. It feels like an added layer of tragedy that shouldn't happen to anyone. I hope that talking about this and keeping the conversation going can help lead to something that gets the family the answers they need. If anyone in the community knows anything, please don’t stay silent. J'Quan’s family deserves to have some peace.
I keep thinking about how J'Quan's murder still hasn't been solved, and it's been over two years now. It's such a tragedy not just because a bright young man lost his life, but because his family has had to endure ongoing pain without any closure. It’s a double tragedy when you hear about his cousin Tae'o's similar fate. It's hard to comprehend how much J'Quan's family has been through.
I was wondering if anyone in the community near Eight Mile and Rex has noticed anything suspicious around that time. The fact that the suspect might have been driving a white Dodge Durango could mean someone saw something and didn't realize its importance. Every little detail could help bring peace to J'Quan’s family.
