I've been thinking a lot about Emmett Till's great-uncle, Mose Wright, and the immense courage he showed during the trial. It's hard to imagine the kind of bravery it took for him to stand up in a Mississippi courtroom and point out the men who kidnapped Emmett. At the time, challenging white men in such a public way could have had dangerous repercussions, yet he chose to speak up for the truth. It’s a reminder of the small acts of heroism from ordinary people that have helped push for change throughout history. Wright’s actions, though often overshadowed by the tragedy itself, played a crucial role by bringing national attention to the case. His bravery, and the personal risk he took, deserve to be remembered alongside Emmett's story. Sending thoughts to Emmett's family and all those who Courageously stood by him.
