I’ve been thinking a lot about the psychological aspect of the Anthony Scott Gibbs case and how different people handle grief and trauma. I can't even begin to imagine the emotional impact this horrific event had on Brittany Gibbs and their children. It's so important to remember the human side of these cases—the lives that are shattered beyond repair. Did anyone ever hear how his family and kids are doing nowadays? I hope they’ve had as much support as possible from friends and the community. Losing a loved one in such a gruesome way must leave a permanent scar. How do people even begin to heal from something like this? If anyone knows of any community initiatives or support groups that were organized for them, especially those that aim to help with healing after such a violent crime, I think it would be worth sharing here. It’s these stories that remind me how vital it is for us to rally around victims' families and provide ongoing support, long after the media attention fades.

I am just a little girl reading these pretending to be a big strong adult. I am the daughter of Anthony Scott Gibbs.

Hi there

I’m so sorry for the loss of your dad, Anthony. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to read about him and everything that happened.

Please know that when we talk about his case here, we’re thinking of him as a real person who was deeply loved – not just a story.

You don’t have to be “big and strong” here. It’s okay to be sad, confused, or anything else you feel.

If you ever need to step away from reading this kind of stuff, that’s okay too. Taking care of yourself matters most.

Sending you a lot of love and respect,

Hey everyone,
I've been reading through the discussions about Anthony Scott Gibbs' tragic murder, and one small detail keeps catching my eye. I can't shake the feeling that the choice of weapon—a medieval-style decorative ax—is such an odd and chilling element in this case. Why would someone have something like that on hand, let alone choose to use it in such a horrific way? Was it already in the house, or did Sutton bring it with him that night? It just adds another layer of disturbing to an already unfathomable act.
Thinking about this just breaks my heart for Anthony's family. I can't imagine the pain his wife Brittany and their kids must've felt, both losing a loved one and processing the strange and brutal circumstances. It just all feels so senseless. Sending love and strength to them and anyone else affected by this tragedy.
Would love to hear any thoughts folks might have on this aspect of the case.
Stay safe,

Vickie is the wife’s name, my mother.

I’ve been thinking about the presence of medieval-style weapons in households. It’s bizarre to me how something like this can be kept as a decorative item, and then be used in such a horrific manner. It's deeply unsettling. How does someone even begin to cope, knowing that an object meant just for display and historical curiosity could lead to something as violent as this? My heart truly goes out to Anthony Gibbs’ family. It’s unimaginable having to live with the knowledge of how an innocent night turned into such a nightmare. I hope for peace and healing for everyone who knew and loved him.

i am the daughter of Anthony Scott Gibbs. Our family hasn’t had peace since this tragic occurrence in our family. He was the glue that held us together, and I have to learn how to cope with a mother that fell off the deep end into addiction and a father that was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I am the one that suffers.
