He was born on September 10, 1983, in Scott County, Mississippi, and worked as a truck driver for Harrison Logging Company. Gibbs was survived by his wife, Brittany Gibbs, and their three children, Anthony, Whitney, and Devan. His funeral services were held on February 25, 2014, with burial in the Goodson Family Cemetery in Smith County, Mississippi.
