I haven't seen much discussion about the impact this has had on Erik's neighborhood. Living in Jackson myself, it's unsettling how something like this can happen so close to home. Azalea Drive used to feel like a safe place, but this incident has really shaken that sense of security for many of us in the community. Erik was known by some as a friendly guy who would always wave when he saw you outside. It’s difficult to process that someone you might have passed by on a regular morning walk has been taken in such a violent manner. I hope the community can come together to not only support Erik’s family but also address the rising concerns about public safety. How do we move forward and ensure this doesn’t happen again?
