It's really tough to think about how Kordell Bates' murder has affected the Port Gibson community. I recently read about how the suspects were all known to Kordell, which makes this whole situation even more painful. It’s chilling to think about the trust that might have been broken, and it just throws a shadow over any sense of community security.
