Hi everyone,
I wanted to bring up the location where Jerry Lee Lyons Jr. was laid to rest. Has anyone heard more about the history of Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula? From what I gather, it's one of those older cemeteries with a lot of local history, which makes me think about how many stories rest in a place like that. It’s eerie to imagine Jerry there now, alongside others whose stories we may never fully know. It feels bittersweet that his life story brought so many people together during his service at the Freewill Pentecostal Church.
I hope there’s some solace for his family in knowing that Jerry is at rest in such a historically significant spot and surrounded by others who are now part of the town's collective memory. I can’t help but reflect on how these places hold more than just remains; they hold pieces of our community’s history. Wishing peace and strength to everyone affected by Jerry’s passing.
