Hey everyone,

I've been following the case of Lance Kaowili, and something that's really stuck with me is how his brother, Ocean Kaowili, was right there on the front lines during the search. I can't even begin to imagine how hard that must have been, trying to stay hopeful while also being part of the rescue efforts. As a local firefighter, Ocean would have known firsthand the challenges and dangers of the ocean in that area. It's a harsh reminder of just how unpredictable and powerful the sea can be, even for someone as experienced as Lance. Does anyone have any insights into how families of missing persons cope during these tough searches? It must impact them in so many ways.

I've seen cases where families receive ongoing support in the aftermath, but it's not something we hear much about publicly. If anyone knows of resources or has any similar experiences, would love to hear more.
