Did anyone else find it striking how quickly this violent situation escalated at the Waffle House? It's truly unfathomable to think that Myrtessia Catchings was called into work, probably just thinking it'd be another routine day, only to encounter such a tragic turn of events. My heart goes out to her and her loved ones, especially knowing she was just stepping in to calm things down. Moreover, how often are these incidents ignored until the worst happens? It makes you wonder about the safety protocols in place for late-night workers. Thankful for the diligence of the police and all involved in the investigation, though. It's a small comfort knowing there's justice for Myrtessia, but it should never have come to this. ? Let's remember her for her bravery and dedication to her job.

I find it incredibly upsetting to think about the immense courage Myrtessia showed going into work that night. As the manager, she must have truly cared about her team and the running of the Waffle House to step in during such a tense situation. It's a testament to her character and dedication. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for her family and friends to process such a senseless loss. While the sentencing can't bring Myrtessia back, I hope it offers some sense of justice and reassurance that the community stands with them. Sending thoughts and prayers to all who knew and loved her during this unimaginably tough time.
