Has anyone seen the weather reports for the night Moses disappeared from the Antoinette Renae? I was just thinking about how rough the waters could get around that time of year. I know the Gulf can be unpredictable. Wondering if anyone on here has info on whether storms were passing through that area in late August 2011. Maybe it could help piece together the events of that night. Any insights on how frequently vessels need to navigate challenging weather conditions would also be helpful. Thanks!

Did anyone else find it odd that the crew on the Antoinette Renae waited almost a full day to report Moses missing? From what I understand, those boats have strict protocols about reporting incidents immediately. I've been digging around a bit, and it seems like there were some inconsistencies in their statements about what happened that morning. Plus, the weather was reportedly calm, so it seems strange that he just "fell overboard" without someone noticing. Just thought I’d see if anyone else has theories about why the delay or if I missed something in the reports.

I read somewhere that the conditions were really rough on the night Moses disappeared from the Antoinette Renae. Does anyone know if there were past incidents or safety concerns reported on that vessel before this happened? It just seems odd that someone could just disappear without a trace, and I can't help but wonder if the crew was adequately trained for such emergencies. Any insight would be appreciated.
