I was reflecting on the trial of Peter Fish and can't help but think how critical Jim Tiger’s testimony must have been. It must have taken a lot of courage for him to stand as a witness in such a high-stakes case. Given the time period and the social dynamics surrounding Native American communities and federal law enforcement, his involvement surely added significant pressure. I'm curious how this might have impacted his life following the trial. Also, it’s both unsettling yet reassuring how fast justice moved with Fish’s conviction. There’s something profound in knowing that despite the chaos back then, efforts were made to hold people accountable for such tragic acts. My heart goes out to Deputy Fink’s family and colleagues who had to endure such a loss under these circumstances. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices law enforcement officers have made and continue to make in their line of duty.
