I recently came across the case of Roy Howlingwater, and it got me reflecting on the people at the service station that day in Elk City. Can you imagine the trauma they must have faced? Not only did they lose a colleague in such a cruel manner, but they also likely dealt with the immediate aftermath. I wonder if any of them were able to provide information to the investigators back then or if they were too shaken to remember anything significant. It's horrible to think about how they might still carry those memories. Cases like this make me realize how many lives are affected beyond just the victim and their family. Does anyone know if there were statements from co-workers or witnesses at the time, or if they’ve since spoken out in hopes of helping solve the case?
