I was reading about Patty Jean Husband, and I can't help but think about her life beyond the tragic events. Just recently promoted to supervisor, she must have had so much to look forward to in her career. It’s so sad to think that someone who had worked hard for five years and was moving up in her job had it all abruptly taken away. I wonder how her colleagues remembered her in those moments leading up to this senseless act. Did they see her as a mentor or friend? It’s important to remember that each victim, like Patty, had a story, dreams, and people who loved them. My heart goes out to her family and friends who had to endure such an unimaginable loss. It serves as a reminder of how crucial it is to cherish every moment with loved ones and also the importance of fostering a supportive and safe work environment for everyone.
