I came across Tammy Moore's case recently, and something really stuck with me regarding the legal system's role in protecting victims of domestic violence. It's incredibly frustrating to think that Tammy had already sought a protective order against her ex earlier in the year, yet here we are discussing her tragic death. It makes me wonder about the effectiveness of these protective measures and what more could have been done to keep her safe. From what I've read, Tammy was the kind of person who made a real difference in her community. Her friends and family describe her as caring and compassionate. It's so sad to think that someone so beloved was lost because of domestic violence—something that never should have gone this far. I hope that sharing her story brings more focus to the systemic changes needed to protect people like Tammy. Has anyone else followed similar cases where the protective orders seemed inadequate? It's haunting to think about the "what ifs" and that Tammy might still be with us if things had been different.
